Sherisue
Barber, PT, DPT, CGFI, Executive Director of Rapid Rehab
Sherisue
is a Physical Therapist and founder of Rapid Rehabilitation. She
received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2004 and Master of
Physical Therapy in 1994 from Shenandoah University.
Dr. Barber’s doctoral research was titled Management of a
patient with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy using Anodyne, Therapeutic
Exercise and Neuro Muscular Re-education:
A Case Report. She
has over 10 years of clinical experience in orthopedics and geriatrics.
Specialty training includes treatment of back pain, chronic
conditions such as tendonosis, vestibular
rehabilitation and balance, and
urinary incontinence and pelvic pain.
She also holds certifications in Augmented Soft Tissue

Michelle
Beamer, PT, DPT, Women’s Health Coordinator
Michelle is a Physical Therapist and Women’s Health
Program Coordinator. She
received her Master’s of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical
therapy from Shenandoah University.
She
holds a specialty certification in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) and has
advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation and balance.
Michelle’s strengths are orthopedics and Women’s Health
Related problems. This
Program includes treatment for urinary incontinence, osteoporosis,
fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, low back pain during pregnancy, dysmenorrhea
and TMD (jaw pain). Michelle
also has a background in dance and competitive baton twirling. She and
her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Sue
E. Curfman, PT, DHSc, OCS, MTC - Clinical Specialist
Dr. Curfman is a Physical Therapist with over 20 years experience and Clinical Specialist for Rapid Rehabilitation. She has received recognition by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). She also holds specialty certifications in Manual Physical Therapy (MTC), Lymphedema Management, and Golf Fitness. She received her advanced DHSc in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine (2000), with concentrations in Orthopedics, Manual Therapy, and Anatomical Applications in Clinical Problem Solving. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Anatomy and Physiology from Boston University (1991) and a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh (1985). She has held academic appointments at numerous universities and is an accomplished author, teacher, and researcher, receiving accolades in each of these roles. Holly Dodd, MPT received her Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Physical Therapy from Gannon University in Erie, PA. The main focus of her practice has been in orthopedics and working with injured athletes. She has received advanced training in correction of gait dysfunctions, evaluation and treatment of the pelvic girdle, and rehabilitation of female athletes. Elizabeth
Turner, DPT
received her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah
University in Winchester, Virginia.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science
with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from The Florida State
University in Tallahassee, Florida. Dr. Turner’s doctoral research was
titled Balance and Falls in the Elderly: Determining Predictive
Validity of Balance Assessment Tools Using Prospective Data. For
this work, she was awarded Best Seminar Project from the Shenandoah
University Program in Physical Therapy.
While in PT school, she organized and participated in many
community service projects, winning the Exemplary Community Outreach and
Service Award. Dr.
Turner’s professional focus is in Manual Orthopedics and Pediatrics
with special interests in childhood obesity and therapeutic playtime
with children. Her clinical
experience includes early intervention as well as outpatient pediatrics,
neurological rehabilitation, and manual therapy. She holds a specialty
certification in Augmented Soft
Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) and has received advanced training in
management of children with neuromuscular disorders, evaluation and
treatment of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, and manual therapy
to evaluate and treat lumbosacral dysfunctions.
